ZODIAC SIGNS ARIES THROUGH VIRGO


Aries (March 21 - April 19): In Greek mythology, Aries is associated with the Golden Fleece and the ram that carried Phrixus and Helle to safety. The ram, known as the "Ram of Golden Fleece," was sent by Hermes and was sacrificed to honor Zeus.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Taurus is often linked to the myth of the Cretan Bull, a magnificent creature sent by Poseidon to terrorize King Minos' kingdom of Crete. Hercules eventually captured and tamed the bull as one of his twelve laborers.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20): In Greek mythology, Gemini is connected to Castor and Pollux, known as the Dioscuri. They were twin brothers, with Pollux being the immortal son of Zeus and Castor being the mortal son of Tyndareus. After Castor's death, Zeus placed them in the heavens as the constellation Gemini.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22): Cancer is associated with the myth of the giant crab, sent by the goddess Hera to hinder Hercules' battle with the Hydra. Hercules eventually defeated the crab and Hera placed it in the sky as the constellation Cancer.

Leo (July 23 - August 22): Leo is linked to the Nemean Lion, a ferocious beast with an impenetrable hide. As one of Hercules' twelve labors, he successfully killed the lion, wearing its skin as a trophy and symbol of his strength.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22): In Greek mythology, Virgo is associated with the goddess Astraea. She was the daughter of Zeus and the last immortal being to live amongst humans during the Golden Age. Eventually, Astraea left Earth and became the constellation Virgo.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20): Pisces is often associated with the myth of Aphrodite and Eros. When Typhon, a monstrous creature, attacked the gods, Aphrodite and Eros transformed themselves into fish and escaped by swimming in the Euphrates River.
